lovegarden, 2024

lovegarden is a continuation of the garden projects exploring weeds as a resistance to our capitalist society in three themes: play, love and time. This performance focusses on plants which were commonly used in love potions: Daisy (Bellis perennis), Saint-John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Vervaine (Verbena officinalis), Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) and Forget-me-not (Myosotis). Rituals associated with these plants are performed followed by a 16mm film which is developed with this love potion. ​

This performance was developed during a residency at De Brakke Grond and the InnerEScape project by KNEPH.

geneeskrachtige kennis.
zaden verzorgen tot planten - verzorgen tot bomen - 
verzorgen tot bossen -
tot n-e-t-w-e-r-k-e-n
van /geborgenheid\

liefde als een lichaam,
en hun relatie tot de aarde.
vragen over eigendom en trauma.
liefde als een groep verloren lichamen die samenkomen
die samenkomen       om               plaats           in          te       nemen.
